Thanks for sharing your sources dvg!! Have you had positive experiences with this German company? At least they are able to provide a phytosanitary certificate if needed.

I have only ordered seeds from them ellsie, and the company is a class act. Growing them from seed is fun because they germinate so quickly and then the baby seedlings are as cute as a button. dvg

When you ordered your cacti/succulent seeds from Germany, did you have to get a phytocertificate as well? They have SOOO many interesting succulent seeds!!😁

It's been a while, but the seeds didn't require a phyto cert...only the plants did.

There's usually a guy at the Toronto Cactus and Succulent Society Show and Sale in June who has a lot of peyote plants. Bonfield gave me one years ago and it's still going, about 50% larger than when I got it and it just flowered for me this year. I think they need lots of real sunlight, year round.

Okay, these are cool and all, but I'm having a hard time not associating them with the Graboids from the tremors movies (mouths closed, of course).
Still very cool plants!
Also, I just looked them up, and apparently they've been banned in a lot of places for many years, because they are hallucinogenic and a controlled substance. Neat!

perrywing, Ah, the Tremors movie series (there's a total of 7!).....good memories!!😂 At least when these cute cacti bloom, they won't turn into Shriekers or Ass blasters🤣🤣

They might originally be from the Lone Star State, but this Sheriff's badge also has a deputy sidekick alongside ridin' shotgun! dvg

Bonfield generously gave me one of these plants about 7? years ago. It's about twice as big now and the creases in the plant are now branching out. I think it might be about to start a new node. Are they always that slow?

Nice! Yes, they are glacially slow, which is why illegal harvesting in their natural range, especially methods that don't allow subsequent offshoots, has devastated their wild populations.
