bonfield I was thinking about buying a jacq from there. How was there packaging? They also provide a description of medium. I was wondering how accurate the size discription was. Thanks.

It was in a styrofoam box with a heat pack, fairly well-protected from the elements. I was satisfied with the size for what I paid, but it never hurts to request a pic if you're unsure.

I should be receiving my plants tonight... I placed a nice sized order and was quite impressed with Tails and Scales sending me an email with a bunch of photos showing the plants I ordered. Looks like decent sizes compared to others' sizing categories. For example I received an extra small from one supplier and the plant was about the size of my thumbnail. T&S's photo show a good size for their "extra small". I've attached some photos they had sent me yesterday:

Thanks flytrap ! That's an impressive sized "extra small" hamata The shipment arrived yesterday. The FedEx "overnight" took 4 days to deliver. And yup. I was a bit worried as we had frost and light freezing. I'm quite pleased with the way Tails and Scales packed and packaged all the plants. Nicely and professionally prepared. And yes, the hamata was nicely sized for "extra small". The large sized plants were at least 8" tall, a nice surprise as other nursery's "large" were about 3 to 4" tall.

And a shoutout to a couple of our BC members here. First off a big thanks to Ellsie for sending out an Australian finger lime - absolutely marvelous little citrus package there in a small fruit...great on so many levels. Thanks Ellsie! And secondly, i wanted to thank Carson Hardy for sending out seeds my way, twice as it turned out. Thanks again for your extra efforts Carson. dvg

I should post my thanks to lemonmama too! My seeds arrived last Friday. I admire your perseverance, but I'm too impatient to plant seeds for anything but dews and their relatives.

I get it! There’s something to be said for a long-term project sometimes.
