dvg, I peeked into the pot where I sowed the seeds I got from you, and I've got one keen seed, with two tiny leaves poking up already! Thanks again!

With another successful summer season under its belt, this rosette's inward spiral readies itself for a long winter's rest. dvg

A bit more outward fibonacci spread, from the centre's inner spiral. dvg

Resting atop a bedding of dry papery leaves this rosette is ready for its dry winter's respite. dvg

Realised I hadn't posted anything in a while, and this little guy looked so comfy, having settled into its first winter rest, I thought it deserved a share. Just a bit smaller than DVG's mature plants haha.

Very nice GJ!
Is that a seed grown colimensis?

It sure is! Unfortunately it was the only one from the batch to germinate, so I'm trying my darndest to avoid killing it haha.

Well that is very impressive indeed!
This species isn't easy to keep alive and growing them out from seed is a whole other magnitude of difficulty.
Very well done there GJ, and you good sir should take a well deserved bow.

You give me too much credit DVG! If/when it transitions back to its summer form, I'll start to feel like I've got a bit more of a handle on it.

Noticed last night that this one was back in active growth again. It hasn't been given any water yet, but once the dried leaves from last year's growth are trimmed back, removed, and it finally gets a sip again, hopefully there will be more of these, to follow. dvg

Another shot, in late day sun, for contrast against the previous pic taken under 6500 k fluorescent lights, last night. dvg

Almost impressive the way they seem so tiny coming out of their rest phase, yet can still anchor such a relatively tall flower!

This colimensis clone's resting rosette is not as tight or as densely leaved as it has been in seasons past. It's currently passing the winter indoors on a west facing window sill. dvg
