sounds like another evolutionary step in these tropical pitcher plants.....holographic neps! They are evolving indeed, progressing from striped bar-code peristomes, on to check-patterned QR codes on the back of their throats, through to holograms, making it much easier to find a good bug diner. ocps.proboards.com/thread/5160/striped-delightsdvg

will20013, I've been admiring your huge bird of paradise for the last little while now, especially during the cold dreary days! Just curious if your plant has flowered for you yet?

Hey ellsie, My bird of paradise hasnt flowered yet but I hear it is pretty rare for one indoors to flower. Still growing well though and pumping out new leaves! Here are some update shots, it's pretty much twice as tall haha.

Wow🤤🙄 that's impressive growth in only a year's time! Can't believe those top leaves are already bending after touching the ceiling!

Looks good, Will. I should get one for my sunroom. I'm looking for plants with some height that won't take years to grow.

Thanks Hal, you totally should! It thrives under lots of light and has been pretty easy for me to grow. The only annoying thing is that you have to wash off the leaves every once and a while because they collect dust, but the big leaves are definitely worth it!
