I thought I'd take some shots of the traps before I have to rip apart the tray, there are a few flower stalks emerging, hopefully they survive the process and I'll have pics of the blooms soon!

This is a recent addition acquired from Bonfield - thanks Cole! As mentioned in this thread's title, This Utricularia hybrid has U. alpina as its seed parent, with its pollen donor father being U. humboldtii. Will update again, once this new arrival adjusts from its move and finally settles into its new conditions here. dvg

Most of those original stolon leaves that this clump arrived with proceeded to die off quite quickly, and then it took a good long while for new growth to emerge again on this pot's surface. But I was advised that this clone is pretty much a weed, so hope was held out for it, until it started to send up a variety of new growth in various shapes and colors. dvg

Some nice colour on your leaves DVG! Mine is pretty much all green. I have to keep it on the opposite side of the bin they are in from the others because the stolons are exploring well out of the pot haha.

Haha gj, they do seem to have a finely tuned nose for getting their fingers into everything around them. dvg

koifish: I give them occasional spraying with a mild orchid fertilizer, and it wasn't shot underwater, these bladderworts are epiphytes, although as a humboldtii cross, they do tolerate a slightly higher water table than most orchid Utrics.

This clone has continued constructing an intriguing new leaf shape, since the last update here. Not even sure what purpose this leaf shape serves the plant, with it alternatively appearing to be like a hummingbird's bill, or perhaps proboscis of moth, even a narwhal's tusk or the fabled horn of the unicorn. dvg

Due to some recent "Google issues", I should probably repost this here.

Spotted some unexplained growth on this 'Nüdlinger Flair' tonight, and after dismissing my Utric chomping cat as the causing culprit, i'm now thinking that this could be a flower stalk forming, which would be the first for this clone since its arrival. It does seem a bit fancy for just another leaf stolon, especially with that quail's feather tucked into the back of its hat. Will have to see if a flowerstalk or an exotic leaf stolon flows out from this new growth point...not sure what will result. dvg

Trying to catch a pic of this little mystery is proving to be as elusive as capturing a clear image of Nessie... A shot from behind just adds up to odds bodkins. dvg

It reminds me of some sort of Dr. Seussian creation... ...not quite sure what to expect next, but that's to be expected with Seuss. dvg

To help clear up the mystery of the odd shaped growth and what had become of it: it has grown out as a leaf stolon. dvg
