I was just going to PM you this, and feel free to remove it/move it if you don't want it here, but I feel like its essential to share since everybody seems to think the news they get from "verified sources" can be trusted without looking any deeper, including this thing about Trump supporters killing Sicknick.
Brian Sicknick died from an unrelated stroke:
And I'd certainly be interested in seeing the sourcing for the white supremacists being the biggest threat (considering the number of gang shootings in cities like Chicago), but assuming you're right, we can't just lump right wing extremists in with Trump supporters since Biden has documented ties with white supremacists (eg endorsement by white nationalist Richard Spencer, and he not only spoke at KKK member Robert Byrd's funeral, but also called him a friend and mentor). As for the officers that committed suicide, sure we can pretend like that counts, but if they were traumatised by the roughing up with the Trump supporters who were unarmed aside from some bear spray I believe, imagine how bad it was for the officers that were in the areas where Antifa/BLM were throwing molotovs, shooting officers, and attempting to cement the doors of precincts shut, then lighting them on fire in hopes of burning people alive. So you can say the capitol rioters were bad, but I don't think there's an intellectually honest argument that they were worse than the leftists.

I hadn't heard that update on his death, so if competent medical examiners are willing to state that the cause of death wasn't strictly a result of injuries sustained during the riots, I will have to accept that, although I can't imagine what the rioters did to him was in any way beneficial, physically or psychologically.
And as for the sources on the right-wing extremists and their lethal impact on society, when you consider how the KKK and similar groups have been murdering Americans and Canadians steadily for the last century, even though they've undergone a recent rebranding, there would have to be several more 9/11s for any other group to catch up. How many children were murdered by right-wing extremist Timothy McVeigh alone when he set the explosives right near an FBI daycare center? The left can be irritating, irresponsible, and plain unacceptably confrontational sometimes, but the bulk of deadly violence is being reported from governments around the world as coming from the right, and a lot of it is their combined love of the 2nd amendment and what is often a neophobic response to cultural shifts.
I'm not going to defend people on the left who attempt to make a statement by burning the livelihoods of complete strangers to the ground, nor will I excuse Joe Biden's history of also contributing to divisive and destructive policies, and I also hope his son Hunter reconsiders the ethical shitstorm that is his entry into the artworld. But for either of us to suggest that it's only one side committing these acts of violence and corruption is just taking a corner and resorting to "whataboutism". And while I can't accept the actions of BLM/antifa protesters who participated in the destruction, just imagine how right-wingers would be reacting if they had to watch people exactly like them being routinely murdered by police without accountability, the resulting protests/police bloodshed in that situation would likely be incomparable.

Haha, boy did this thread steer off the road and veer into the ditch. Probably a good thing you two weren't out driving last night. I'll try to get this thread back on track again, and speaking of drinking, here is "Daddy Drank". dvg

Haha I'll take full responsibility for derailing the feel good string of videos with my instinctive contrarian nature.
After the last couple vids I went on a binge and found a sketch I don't remember ever seeing, but is as relevant today as it was then:

Haha, that one hits close to home in Alberta with Jason Kenney's inept UCP government gambling on and losing a 1.3 billion dollar investment in a now cancelled pipeline.

Haha sorry, didn't mean to rub salt on the wound. With the decades of Alberta being used as a cash cow by both provincial and federal politicians, I'm surprised we don't hear more chants of "Taxation is Theft" chants from your neck of the woods.

Another golden one. I'm pretty sure this one is entirely historically accurate haha.

Another golden one. I'm pretty sure this one is entirely historically accurate haha. Haha, yes the drunken monkey flying the plane does seem to help explain what happened that fateful night. With the way PC culture has become so prevalent in today's society, will the new KITH reboot have any groups even left to offend? Jerry Seinfeld said in a recent interview that the funniest comedy has to be infused with an element of anger, that it needs a bit of outrage. The Kids In The Hall had that in spades. dvg

That Bug Out series kept reminding me of one of my favourite SNL sketches from the '90s.
