Beautiful colour on those! My GG's are much darker, almost purple, with green on the underside of the lid.

My German Giant surprised me the other day. Not sure where this monster of a pitcher (relative to the other pitchers on the plant) came from haha. Perhaps a jump as a result of the sun getting higher, and thereby giving the plants in the window less direct light, or maybe it's just been eating well.

It's a thug!
What's it been feeding on?

dvg, They normally get a light misting of Maxsea once a month, and then some dried bloodworms two weeks out from the misting. That said, those asian lady beetles show up in droves for us here when spring starts to move in, and they inevitably end up getting snacked on (sometimes with a little assistance) by plants capable of trapping them.

A few years back, some winged ants made their way into the crawlspace, only to find my Cephs and bunch of D.binata var. multifida type "extrema". I couldn't help but think of that line from Tremors, "Broke into the wrong goddamn rec room, didn't ya?".

German Giant is a vigorous clone in my conditions, this plant has been repotted twice in the last year (as it promptly outgrew the first pot I put it in), and hardly skipped a beat each time. I got this plant in one of the auctions bonfield held last fall.

Looking good funkmaster! Would you share your preferred repotting media for your Ceph? dvg

Sure. I use 1 part peat to 2.5 parts sand in a deep pot with a 1-2" drainage of LECA at the bottom of the pot as a water table. The pots sit in a tray of water about 1" deep, I refill the tray when it gets down around 1/2" of water left. My Cephs are in a terrarium, so high humidity. The temperature range this time of year highs are around 23 C, lows are around 13 C, things run warmer in the summer months. I find bright lights and cool nights really bring out the deep dark colors. If these plants were bigger and I could fit inside I would get eaten for sure, the skylights in the lids are mesmerizing
