Looks like we'll be getting some hotter summer weather with the temps forecast to hit 32°c tomorrow. The peppers are looking good. The Aji Rico has lots of flowers and pods forming. dvg

Fertilized the peppers today with a 4-6-8 N-P-K and noticed the first pod beginning to ripen to red on the Aji Rico. dvg

The first Aji Rico to ripen here this summer. It was sliced up into thin slices starting at the tip end. My 89 year old father was eating the slices right up to where the seeds were starting to show up in the sliced discs. The pepper slices were delicious, fruity and citrusy in flavour, with very mild heat, or at least this first pepper was that mild. It merely warmed my dad's mouth, without any vigorous flapping of his arms or such else 5-alarm response behavior. dvg

This Aji Rico is the most prolific pepper pod producer that i have ever grown. And the early pods are ripening in July. dvg
