Back to greener pastures again, with this dewy P. colimensis sporting some new leaves since leaving dormancy. dvg

Took this one outside today to show the centre of the rosette that is readying itself for dormancy and a fly landed on a leaf just before the shot was taken. The fly then proceeded to drag itself across the leaf, gathering mucilage as its rear legs dragged behind it. Checked on the fly later, but it was too late for it...it didn't make its way to freedom. dvg

As these carnivorous leaves shrink back; a Fibonacci sequence orders the advancing eye of the storm... dvg

dvg, Have you tried to pollinate any of the flowers? If so, l hope you were successful!

Hi Ellsie, of the five flowers from this year, the last four were successfully pollinated. I made a seed trade with another member here for some of them. I still have to sow some myself, but I will certainly set a few aside for you, if you are interested in trying some. Cheers, Doug dvg

Hi Ellsie, you'll love this species - very dewy leaves, fantastic flowers and interesting Fibonacci ordered leaves in its resting rosette. The seeds are fresh and can be sent out this week, if you're ready for them. Cheers, Doug dvg

The ridges on some of these colimensis leaves remind me of schizandra leaves. dvg
