This one's fifth flower is now underway.  Squidley is also starting to get his inner squid on...  with all tentacles on deck   dvg |

Woah, very cool plant! On first glance as I was scrolling through, I mistook it as some strange weirdly-coloured chunky drosera adelea or something and was highly confused (yet intrigued) until I saw the flower, then it clicked  I'm not huge into pings, I had no idea they could get so tentically (is that a word? It is now!) Anyways, very awesome plants, they look great! |

Yes, most mexi-pings are tentacularly challenged. I've never seen any ping quite as tentacular as Sir Squidley, so in that regard he is especially talented. He is still growing, getting larger in diameter each season, and continuing to bring surprises. I'm waiting to see what he'll grow up to be.   dvg |

Last year, this clone was dark red in color with leaf tips held upright.  The changes each year can be surprising.  It flowered for the first time this year, so it might darken up again after flowering,  or not. dvg |
